Grandma's and Grandpa's...Oh My!

It's the holidays, and you know what that means....VISITS FROM GRANDPA'S AND GRANDMA'S...and with those visits come a lot of love, kisses, hugs, snuggles, and PRESENTS!!!
This year mom, dad, and I stayed home and everyone came to visit us! It was great! Round one was a visit from Grandpa and Grandma Morris, Great Grandpa Ernie, and Aunt Sam! We had a blast!
Christmas morning, Grandpa and Grandma Morris arrived! I thought Grandpa would appreciate a special greeting from me...nothing better than having your nose sucked on!

Snuggle time with Grandpa...

And of course we had present time....I got a lot of great things!

What possibly could be in this huge present?

Great Grandpa Ernie and I working on my walking skills...I'm getting better and better!

After a long day, a warm bath, warm bottle, and Grandpa's arms...I just couldn't keep my peeps open...I was basausted!

Grandma Kathy and Aunt Sam gave me my bottle the next morning....don't you love Grandma's pj's...those were from me! I'm a pretty good gift giver!

Family bonding in the morning...Grandpa is that bed head I see???

Playing with some of my new Christmas presents!

Aunt Sam and Great Grandpa Ernie trying to read to me, but I'm making it difficult because I'm trying to help turn the page!

Round two began with Grandpa and Grandma Kettlebar. They came the Sunday after Christmas! I think Grandpa was pretty excited to see me...I was excited to see him too!

Grandma brought me a stocking full of goodies...she even layered in tissue paper so I could keep entertained...she knows me well!

Nothing better than a big box to play in....so simple and yet so fun!

I bet you can't see me in here!

Grandpa and Grandma Kettlebar got me a big polar bear rug...I can sit on it and chew it's ears all at the same time!

We wrestle too...pretty sure I dominated!

I got two new basketball hoops...here Grandma's showing me what I should do...but I think chewing on the ball sounds fun too...

...okay...I can shoot too! He shoots...he SCORES! I'm getting really good at shooting with both hands...mom's teaching me well!
Mom was tuckered out from cooking a big Christmas dinner on Christmas day, so Grandpa and Grandma took us to Maggianos for our Christmas dinner. We look pretty good all dressed up...especially that guy in the middle!
Round three...Craig and Grandma Becci! They came on New Year's Eve. We celebrated Christmas on New Year's Day with a fancy dinner to PF Changs! I heard it was absolutely delicious...I wouldn't know since I stuck with my usual...baby food!
Another family photo before dinner!
I wonder if Grandma notices me getting ready to pull on her hair? I love to pull hair!
Bedtime bottle with Grandma...nothing better than snuggling with Grandma before bed!
One thing about me that you may not know, is that I love making faces. Here is a Maddux classic...I love to do it because I know I get attention when I do!

This shot pretty much sums up my first Christmas! IT WAS PERFECT! I loved every minute with all my family and I loved all my wonderful presents! Life can't seem to get much better than this! By the way, who knew a 9 month old's mouth could be so big??

Wipeout!

Wow...mom sure was a crazy driver...but I took it like a champ...not one tear was shed! And yes...that's my dad laughing uncontrollably...glad I could entertain!

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Grandpa and Grandma Morris got me a snow suit and I finally got to put it to use! This snow stuff is pretty cool!

Dad made me this huge snow ball...I don't really know what to do with it, so I just laugh!

Good thing I have my hat or this snow would be getting in my eyes!

Just soakin' it all in!

Dad and I just having some good old fashioned fun!

Mom is so silly...she was a crazy woman in the snow!

Then, Grandpa and Grandma Kettlebar got me my first sled for Christmas...it even has a seat belt...however, it didn't keep mom from making me dive face first into the snow...I'm sure you saw it in the movie clip! Despite the wipeout, this sled rocks!

Mom would run down the hill and I'd fly into her just laughing and laughing!

You might have noticed the snow in my sled, that's from my wipeout with mom...but it didn't stop me from loving every minute of it and I made sure to yell my excitement so the whole neighborhood could hear it! I might be little...but I sure am LOUD!
I can't wait for many more adventures in the snow....maybe dad better pull the sled next time! :)

Nothing better than Christmas Morning!

Good morning everyone...and Merry Christmas! I'm ready to open me some stocking stuffers and presents!

Hi mom...can I tear into these yet?

Huh....how do I get into this...never had a present quite like this before?

All that work for a blank piece of paper...how exciting!

I'm having a blast already and I've only opened one stocking stuffer...my Elmo Christmas book.

I know...cutest butt ever...mom tells me all the time!

Is this for eating or reading?

Wow...where do I even begin?

I think I'll start with this one...

If only mom and dad would have bought me a box full of wrapping paper!

I was thrilled to get my first "stuffed" doggie...a little baby Mastiff...we were instant best buds...I named him Gunny!

Mom says it's a good thing he's only stuffed because I get a little aggressive with him when I give him kisses...this will give me practice before I get a "real" puppy next spring.

I got so many awesome presents...here is a boat for bathtime!
I had a blast Christmas morning. Mom and dad spoiled me rotten and I loved every minute of it! I finished up the morning snuggling with dad as he taught me all of the things my new friend Scout, green dog in the picture, will do...he not only says my name, but sings a song all about Maddux! I hope everyone had as wonderful of a Christmas as I did...Merry Christmas everyone!

Thank You Great Grandma Carole!

I know it's only December 21st, but mom and dad let me open one Christmas present early...from my Great Grandma Carole. It was so much fun...who knew tissue paper could be so great! We thought that if I opened it early and we recorded it, then Grandma could enjoy it with us since she's all the way in Oregon...I'm not even sure where that is! Anywho, I had so much fun and thank you Grandma for the teddy bear and football, but more importantly, Grandma....I LOVE YOU...I hope you have a Merry Christmas and here are hugs and kisses from ME...XOXOXOXO!!!!

My First Visit with Santa

Today mom took me to visit Santa for the very first time! He was great...he sat and listened to all of my Christmas wishes and the best part was he let me play with his beard and glasses!

We make a pretty good lookin' pair of dudes!

Cheesin' for mom....she loves that!

It was a great visit and I can't wait to see him again next year! Not to brag, but Santa was a pretty big Maddux fan as well. After our pictures were taken, he said, "I just have to turn this little boy around so I can talk to him some more since he's so stinkin' cute!" Santa's helpers really liked me too...I think those girls had a little crush on me! What can I say...when you got it, you've got it! Merry Christmas everyone!
