Santa

Oh what a difference a year can make. Last year Maddux loved Santa....as you can see, that wasn't so much the case this year! Despite the tears, we enjoyed taking Maddux to the cutest little house in Clay Terrace to visit with Santa. Hopefully next year will be tear-free!

Winter Fun

We finally got enough snow to go out and play!

Maddux loved sledding down our back yard...mom and dad tired very quickly!

Think someone is cold?

A face of a little boy who is not so sure if this cold weather is really that great!

What a helper...helping dad shovel the drive!

Fall Festivities 2010

Fall of 2010 has absolutely flown by with a trip to Lucas Oil Stadium, a trip to the Pumpkin Patch, dressing up as a dog for Halloween, and of course countless hours of just playing! As you will see, our little "baby" isn't so little anymore and is growing up into quite the "big boy"!

Cheering on the Rocks at Lucas Oil!

Matt is the coach standing by himself right in the middle of the picture!

Dad, being the coach that he is, even let Maddux chop his feet on the turf at the stadium...pretty cool!

The football game versus Zionsville really left Maddux with some injuries...and he didn't even play in the game. He first fell while playing with some middle school boys and scraped his nose and upper lip. Then about 30 minutes later, he fell again, leaving him with an awful goose egg on his forehead...it was a rough night for everyone!

As you can see, the injuries don't phase him!

Marker time!

Maddux has been learning how to use utensils...as you can see...he doesn't quite have it mastered...but he has improved drastically from when this picture was originally taken!

Year number two at the Pumpkin Patch. We weren't sure how well he'd do on the horse ride, but he absolutely loved it!

We were also pleasantly surprised at how great he did on the pumpkin train ride. He of course brought up the rear....best seat in the house!

Maddux's version of a hat!

So Maddux would not leave his room one afternoon until we put his shorts on, even though he had pants on...so this is the look he created! One of a kind!

For Halloween this year, Maddux was a puppy...his favorite animal at the time. Since then, his animal knowledge has greatly expanded and I'm not so sure the puppy is his favorite! Nevertheless, he made a pretty cute puppy...we'll keep him!

As you can see, we don't have too many boys in our cul-de-sac....he doesn't seem to mind!

He wasn't loving going to stranger's houses and getting candy, so we decided to just pass out candy and had a blast seeing all of the costumes!

Still not too old for his mama!

This is what Maddux will sometimes look like after feeding himself yogurt and applesauce, or "bobatz" as he calls applesauce!

Daddy and Maddux working on some snapping skills! Though Maddux was having a blast, I think Daddy might have been having just a little bit more fun this time!

Do kids ever really use toys as they are intended?

The boys playing the playstation....apple doesn't fall from the tree does it?

Getting one last mow in!

Going through a super cheesy phase! WOW!

Daddy taught Maddux how to tackle and then we had blood! Maddux decided to practice on mommy and tripped, hitting his mouth on my knee and cutting his lip open! As you can see, it didn't phase him too much!

Nice close up of the cut...and yes, that's skin on his tooth! Nice, huh?
We have had a blast this past fall and are only look forward to what the future brings!
