My First Birthday Party!

My first birthday has finally arrived and boy did we have a party. Mom and Dad threw a Cubs Baseball Party for me since I'm technically named after a Cubs player, Greg Maddux. Mom and Dad put up some decor, threw on some Cubs shirts, ate some hot dogs and peanuts, and partied the day away!

Dad even had some street signs from Wrigleyville!

Mom and Dad had this little truck waiting for me first thing when I woke up. I can ride it or push it...and it even honks!

One of my favorite things to show everyone these days is that I'm "SO BIG"!!

Mom and Dad bought me a Cubs shirt with my name and the #1 on the back...and that's right...I'm still "SO BIG"!

CHEESE!

Pretty fancy!

Just getting a little mom-time before everyone arrives...

...and some dad-time too!

Where are all my guests?

I think I see them coming up the sidewalk right now!

Had to show off some of my walking skills for everyone, still not perfect, but getting closer!

I had a lot of my family come to my party...here I am with Grandma Becci (Nana) and Craig!

Here I am with Grandpa and Grandma Morris, Aunt Sam, and Great Grandpa Ernie. Don't we all look so good in our Cubs gear?

"SO BIG" with Grandma K...Grandpa K was there too...he fed me my lunch and it was so good!

My cousin Dawn and her friend Nancy came down too...they were so much fun!
I even had family come all the way from LaPorte....here's my Aunt Julie, "Aunt" Alyssa, and "Uncle" Tyler in the background hanging out with Tucker, their little dog!

You know the saying "moms always know best"? Well, it's true. Mom tried to get me to take a nap before everyone arrived, but I was just too excited. So, just as she predicted, I fell asleep as soon as everyone arrived. Luckily they ate lunch and I woke up right after they were done, ready to open presents!
I got some really great presents....

...but I'm still a fan of boxes and tissue paper!

But then I was introduced to bubbles...and I really like those...especially when they pop right on my face!

Uncle Mark put together my fire truck....he did a perfect job!

Mom and Grandma Becci made everyone baseball cupcakes and they were beary yummy!

After everyone sang Happy Birthday to me, mom gave me my very own cupcake. At first I didn't know what to do with it....

....I figured I better taste it to see if it's any good....

....and boy was it ever!

Instantly, I was a huge fan. I knew I was going to take this cupcake down...

....and I did just that! I WAS VICTORIOUS!

I had so much fun...who knew a cupcake could provide this much entertainment?
And once again, cupcake-hands and all, I had to share with everyone, I'm still "SO BIG"....

...and very aggressive! I'm definitely ALL BOY!

After mom got me all cleaned up, we decided to go outside and test out my new presents!

And that's right everyone, in case you forgot, I'm SO BIG!

Dad was pushing me around so fast...it was so much fun!

When we came inside I started to play with my new fire truck, but I was really starting to get sleepy.
Once I spotted my blanket, Mom knew it was time for a nap and the party was over! I couldn't have asked for a better birthday party! The best part is that I still get one more birthday present in the beginning of June...a new puppy!
