Three Months Old

Well, I started my third month of life with three big shots...no fun...I cried but only for a minute and then mom helped make it all better. I hope I don't have to do that to many more times
Mom got me some new socks because I grew out of my newborn socks...but I think these might be a little big...I don't really want thigh highs!

Once we got home from my shots...I crashed in my bouncer. I'm not sure what they put in those drugs...but they knocked me out!

I'm always so happy when I wake up from a nap...especially if I can manage to get my hands free from my Swaddle Me and suck on them!

Preparing for some hardcore tummy time!

I think I'm supposed to be lifting my head up here but I'm not really feeling it today!

Mom...is this really how this is supposed to work...

Is my head supposed to be resting on the ground with my butt and feet in the air??

I'm finally able to hold onto some of my toys...sometimes I hit myself in the head but it doesn't hurt too bad!

I'm big stuff here...2 toys at once while watching the tv...now that's talent!

My Great Uncle Tim and Aunt Mary sent me this cool new bouncy ball and mom and I bounce on it together and I just laugh and laugh...it's like a little roller coaster for me!

Dad and I are watching mom on the computer...hopefully she'll think we're so cute that she'll come play with us!

Okay...now this is something. Mom was changing my diaper and I had my pacifier in my mouth. I have no idea how my pacifier got from my mouth to my eyeball...but it did...and then it STAYED there until mom moved it! I tried real hard to get it back in my mouth, but it just didn't work!

Look how strong I'm getting...pretty soon I'm going to be all over this place!

But, I do get awfully tired holding my head up and I need to rest....with my thumb of course!

Mom has been trying my new toy...I think I'm still a little small but she stuffs some blankets around me and I do enjoy looking at everything!

I can't quite reach the bottom....thankfully mom lowered it so now I can touch the ground!

Regardless of how cool these new toys are, my fist is still the best toy in the world!

Mom had to go back to work and I tried really hard to stay awake for her arrival, but I just couldn't make it!

Playing with daddy...he's helping me get beary, beary strong!

Look at me...this is probably the best I've done with holding my head up!

And...I can hold my own bottle...okay...maybe not quite yet!

I'm getting to be so big that I do really enjoy just sitting on the couch and looking at the world from a whole new perspective!

And then, I relax on the floor and just look cute!

My First Father's Day!

Wow...I had a big weekend...grandpa and grandma were in town, we went to the Westfield state finals baseball game, and we celebrated Father's Day for the first time...I am basausted...but it was fun! On Friday night, Grandpa and Grandma Morris came down to visit for the weekend. They brought my Great-Grandpa Ernie with them...he sure could make me laugh...and he even let me chew on his shirt until it was soaked!

Later Grandpa and Grandma gave me a bath...as you can tell from the picture...I'm not quite as tan as them. But in my defense, they just got back from Florida and mom and dad make me wear 70 SPF...I'll never catch any rays!

Grandpa was being silly and wearing my towel after bathtime...I tried to tell him that I thought it was a little small...but he insisted!

Before bedtime, they read me a bedtime story...they read me one of my mom's favorites...The Clown Arounds!

Saturday morning, Grandma worked on tummy time with me using a new method with our big ball and it was fun. I keep getting stronger and stronger!

Saturday afternoon mom introduced the pool to me for the first time...and I loved it.

We only stayed in for about 10-15 minutes because it was a scorcher out!

But I'm pretty big stuff...I'm practically loungin' in my own pool all by myself...with a little help from mom!

Saturday night we were going downtown to eat dinner and go to the Westfield High School state baseball game...so I took a pre-game nap here on Grandpa!

Here I am at the baseball game...I needed just a little power nap to make it through the whole game!

Here I am with dad at the game...it was my first game and it was a good one...unfortunately, we lost in the 8th inning! Someday I'll get to play out there too!

Happy Father's Day daddy! I got daddy a bunch of great gifts...with mom's help!

After a bottle and gifts, we got all dressed up and headed out for lunch...to Mitchell's Fish Market! It was a great day...and I'm pretty sure I have the best daddy in the world. I love you daddy!

Maddux vs. Bouncer Seat...Maddux wins!

New Revelation....

So...very few people that Maddux looks anything like me....they think he looks just like his daddy...which he does look like his dad too. However, during our trip to Goshen, my mom got out some of my baby pictures...and what do you know...he does look like me. He actually looks more like me in my baby pictures than he does in Matt in his baby pictures. It was just nice to know that I did have a little something to do with making him!

My First Sleepover!

During my trip to Goshen, I had my first sleepover at Grandpa and Grandma Morris's house...without mom and dad. It was no big deal for me, but mom got a little emotional...I almost had to tell her, "Mom, cut the cord already...I'm 10 weeks old!" But I just let her be, dad tells me sometimes that's just easier! Of course before mom and dad left, mom needed a picture of us together...I tried to act sad she was leaving, but I just couldn't do it...let's face it...I'm not an actor!


Finally with my Grandpa, now if mom and dad could just head out Grandpa and I could get to some hardcore playtime!


Here I am with my Auntie Sam...we played a lot together during my sleepover.


Look at this, Grandpa and Grandma got me the exact same floormat that I have at home...we are a match made in heaven!


And believe it or not, they even got me my first laptop. I'm not quite big enough to play with it myself, but Grandma Kathy held it up for me and it looks really cool.


Then, Grandma put me on her lap and let me pound away on my new laptop...I think by the end of the night I was up to 60 words a minute!


I think I'm just waking up here...I slept so good...8 straight hours of sleep...it's always relaxing at Grandpa and Grandma's.

I had so much fun with Grandpa and Grandma Morris...my mom told me that I get to go over there again very soon and I can't wait.

My first trip to Goshen!

Well, this was my very first trip to Goshen...a 2 1/2 hour trip and I think I did very well in the car on the way up...only fussed a little, but that's expected. You cram yourself in a tiny carseat and see how long you can sit there without a little fussiness! :)

As soon as we got to Grandma and Grandpa Kettlebars house, the masses came over to see me. I guess they think I'm pretty cute or something. I met a lot of my family...and I loved it. This is my Great Aunt Sharon, my Grandpa Mike's sister and she had the touch....I was very comfortable with her!


Here I am with my cousin Dawn...she had on a Cubs hat so I knew right away we were going to be good friends!


Here is my Great Aunt Janet, my Grandma Rose's sister, she actually put me right to sleep...I was absolutely basausted from the trip and entertainment.


Grandma Rose and Aunt Janet gave me a bath...I think they enjoyed it more than I did...something about a naked baby gets these women going! :)


A couple days later, my Grandma Becci came over and she gave me a bath and of course, mom had to take pictures.


Seriously mom, I'm naked here, do we have to take pictures??

Good thing Grandma Becci wrapped me up quickly...it's freezing after a bath. Dad says I look like Mother Theresa all wrapped up...I don't even know that lady...what do you think?

Awww...finally, I can take a nap with Grandma!

Just hangin' with Grandma Rose...I'm getting to be a pretty big boy these days.

Dad and I both needed a nap...vacations are just basausting...I think it's the pressure of entertaining! :)

Here I am with my new friend Parker...I can't sit up like he can so I think he didn't really quite know how to play with me...in a few months we'll probably be best buds!

Grandpa and Grandma Kettlebar even had a bouncer for me to relax in at their house...it was nice!

I'm starting to get a little sleepy!

My mom had the brilliant idea of putting my feet in the pool. The problem was that it was only 70 degrees...what 10 week old baby would like that? Well, I didn't and I let her know it with a few screams and tears. However, I was the first one to be in the pool this year, so I'm pretty proud of that...I even beat my Grandpa Mike...he's ALWAYS that first one...not this year!

I had a great time in Goshen...but it was very nice to get back to my own crib and my ceiling fan!
